While we may get through the working day in one piece without some functionalities and etiquette, we could probably work better with the full toolset to hand. And why not? Sometimes we manage a project from the very start and continue to be involved until the end reports. Other times we are brought in to provide specialist services in specific areas. Each brings different challenges. Each has different outcomes.

Capita Symonds - LNG ISO Tanker Inspections (632) Inspections & Audits

Capita Symonds, Scotia Gas Networks

QEM Solutions provided inspection and expediting services  for Capita Symonds and Scotia Gas Networks (SGN) to ensure that 30 LNG ISO Tankers that are critical to infrastructure were fabricated and delivered on time and to specification.

QEM Solutions developed industry leading software and inspection checklists to ensure that we had both the time and resources to monitor the various fabrications programmes spread across all 3 countries.

Main responsibilities included:

  • The monitoring of the fabrication process from Kick-off to delivery
  • Attendance at all witness and hold points on behalf of Capita Symonds.
  • The review of all material certification
  • The review of all consumables certification and consumables control process
  • The review of weld procedures and qualifications
  • Dimensional checks
  • Functionality review to ensure tanks are built within the design specification
  • Correlation of all radiography  with required welds
  • Review of ADR/RID certification where applicable
  • Review of fabrications in line with BSEN1350 and BSEN12213, BSEN ISO 6346
  • Review of Testing / Q.A documentation prior to submittal to SGN for approval.
  • Overall review of apparatus in line with the specification.
