News Spotlight Health & Safety Management – A vital standard, and a flexible career for our changing world

For some companies, Health & Safety Management may just be an annoyance – an additional responsibility that’s considered only in the days preceding an audit, or – worse still – after an accident has happened. However, we think differently. We need someone to help us bring H&S centre stage throughout our business. Are you right for us?

Our Projects

Combined, we have over 50 years experience, gained on a variety of projects throughout the world. But no two engineering projects are alike.

Sometimes we manage a project from the very start and continue to be involved until the end reports. Other times we are brought in to provide specialist services in specific areas. Each brings different challenges. Each has different outcomes.

We would like to share just a few of these projects here.

MultiTech - Design Process Management (571) Design Process Compliance

MultiTech Contracting

Edinburgh, Scotland & Warrington, England
1 Jun 2009 - 1 Dec 2009

QEM Solutions were asked to assist MultiTech Contracting in developing their internal design and risk mitigation processes to ensure that they promoted and implemented industry best practice from both a legislative and an engineering / design perspective.

Working with both the Edinburgh and Warrington Offices, QEM identified possible gaps in the design process and offered improvements that could integrate directly with the companies existing policies and procedures.

The result was a process that brought in the reality of fast paced engineering and combined it with industry best practice, ensuring that all risks associated with construction, operation and decommissioning stages were mitigated, where possible, at the design stage.

Working over a 6 month period, QEM established and implemented new processes on both corporate and project levels.

The timely implementation meant that MultiTech could apply the new processes to both the Burnhervie and Girvan pipeline projects for Scotia Gas Networks.
