Hi I'm James. Within the group some might call me the miserable one (harshly I might add!!). I think the title of being miserable is meant to be ironic, but maybe they're just jealous of my stress-free mentality. Unlike the others I'm the one that brings the bit of banter required to get you through those long days. Everyone is fair game, especially myself!

I did Management with Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering at Leeds Uni with Rob C who somehow managed to convince me to come aboard the Good Ship QEM. Following Uni, I was a QA/QC Engineer for a bus manufacturer giving me a dirge of experience in ISO9001 and auditing / inspection procedures which has stood me in good stead for my career with QEM. Rob G brought me on board in 2007 as the third member of the crew and it's been plain sailing ever since. Next port of call will be the bridge! [end of sailing metaphors]

What do I like doing? Well, I love football and especially my home town club Leicester City (this probably is the main reason for my "miserable" outlook at times as it's more of a love/hate relationship) and unlike the others, playing it for a local five-a-side team. Luckily I also follow Rugby Union and the Tigers manage to reduce my dour outlook on some of the City of Leicester's sporting exploits. When I'm home, I like to put my hand to things, either cooking or DIY namely.

I can rustle you up a mean fillet of beef, or I can put a hole in your radiator pipe, all whilst unproductively air-guitaring to a bit of Thin Lizzy or Oasis. The former is a much better option than the latter. Trust me!
